Wendy Pethybridge (She/Her), LMHC

Good day, I'm Wendy. I have been a therapist since 2009. I am neurodivergent and our practice is neurodivergent friendly and competent. I provide testing for ADHD and will help in coordinating with other providers for appropriate treatment. I am qualified to submit clearance letters for bariatric surgery, gender aligning procedures, and assess for Emotional Support Animals.

I enjoy working with clients that would like to change and are struggling to make the needed shifts. I often use CBT/REBT (ABC Model), the Stages of Change, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (inner child/aspect), Mindfulness (yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, sound bath), Art/Creative projects, and Shadow work to help clients with their growth and development. In addition, I help clients with spiritual wounds to heal in a practice that aligns with them - regardless of what that might look like.

As a sexologist, I help clients with providing sex education and correcting miseducation, sexual trauma, reducing feelings of anxiety, fear, or shame related to sexuality and intimacy, issues related to gender identity and sexual orientation, relationship design (monogamy, consensual or ethical non-monogamy including polyamory), challenges with cultural, religious, and societal views of sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation, improve communication between partners, heal relationship issues stemming from sexual difficulties, poor body image and its relationship to sexuality, coping and living with sexually transmitted infections, kink/BDSM dynamics, and sex and/or pornography addiction.

I have specialized in the mental health treatment of those in the LBGTQIA+ community and further specialized with working with teens and adults as they explore their gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship design, and sexuality that most authentically aligns with them. I have training in HRT and on the different types of surgical procedures that Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, or Non Binary patients may need. I provide psychological clearance for patients, for HRT and for surgeries, which also requires specialized training in testing and assessments. I take the treatment of our clients very seriously and I am very aware of the challenges that those on the Trans/Gender Spectrum experience in finding competent care. We provide all our patients with supportive, nonjudgmental, inclusive, and safe care.

We provide mental health treatment that is appropriate for our client's age and level of functioning. We explore gender identity and sexual orientation with our teen patients, and depending on the needs of our adult clients, we may be addressing sexual dysfunction (lack of desire, lack of arousal, orgasm difficulties, pain during sex, erectile dysfunction) that may be related to biological concerns (medical conditions), relationship discord, and/or sexual trauma (rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse). We help our clients navigate topics that other practices find taboo or are unqualified to address. We are compassionate and empathic with our clients as we navigate some of life's more sensitive topics.

Zolie Potter (She/Her), LMHCA

Hi there, my name is Zolie. I strive to create a strong therapeutic bond and safe space as we explore the mind, heart, and spirit. I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Bachelors in Sociology. I received a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University.

While pursuing my goal to become a counselor I faced many hardships from financial distress to sudden deaths in my family. During these dark times I was able to lean on the psychoeducation and coping skills I had gained to help fortifie my mental and emotional resilience. Life is like the ocean; you can learn how to navigate it; how to cope during storms; but there is little control outside of yourself. A therapeutic achievement I want for any person I see, is to provide the knowledge and tools for them to manage their own "ship" on the sea called Life.

My educational background offers insight into how the individual and their society can interact and impact their mental health. My therapeutic experience includes working with individuals across the lifespan to address struggles related to ADHD, grief and loss, depression, trauma, and addiction. My counseling approach is based in Adlerian and REBT theory; I work with the individual to identify patterns within their lifestyle and cognitive process that could be contributing to their ongoing distress. Sometimes you don't know what changes need to be made, only that a positive, progressive change is needed. The first step to wellness starts with that acknowledgement; the second is to reach out for support to get started on that journey; and I look forward to starting that journey together.
